About this seal
A REJECTED stamp returns a submission, delivery or claim with a clear status. The reason line is what makes it useful: a rejection without a reason generates a phone call; one with a reason gets fixed and resubmitted.
Common uses
- Submittals and shop drawings returned to contractors
- Goods refused at delivery
- Expense claims and invoices sent back
- Applications missing information
How to create it
- Open the template — the red rectangular box stamp reading “REJECTED” is pre-applied.
- Edit the fill-in lines under the word, or type the date, initials or reference before exporting.
- Change the colour if your office uses a different convention — red is the usual choice for this stamp.
- Download a transparent PNG (or SVG with Pro).
- Place it on a PDF or Word file with the document stamp tools, or print it on labels.
Frequently asked questions
Why include a reason line?
It tells the sender what to fix, which shortens the resubmission loop and gives you a record of why the document was refused.
Is there a diagonal version?
Yes — the editor's workflow presets include a diagonal REJECTED watermark stamp for marking across a page.
Legal & usage
An office stamp is a status marking, not a signature, certification or official classification. Use it on documents you are entitled to annotate, and do not use it to misrepresent a document's status to others.
