About this seal
In France a company stamp (tampon commercial or tampon SIRET) is not a legal requirement, but it is routinely expected on quotes, invoices, delivery notes and administrative forms marked “cachet de l'entreprise”. Its value is that it gathers the identifiers French paperwork asks for in one impression: the denomination and legal form (SARL, SAS, EURL…), the registered address, the SIRET number and often the VAT number, sometimes with the RCS city and share capital.
