About this seal
In Portugal a company stamp is not a legal requirement, but “carimbo e assinatura” still appears on many forms, declarations, delivery notes and bank documents. A carimbo da empresa usually shows the firma (company name) with its legal form — Lda., Unipessoal Lda. or S.A. — the registered address with the seven-digit postcode, and the NIPC, the 9-digit tax number of a legal person, sometimes followed by a phone number or e-mail.

How is a Portuguese carimbo different from a Brazilian carimbo CNPJ?
