About this seal
PRIORITY is the calmer sibling of URGENT: it says a document should be handled ahead of routine work, without implying an emergency. Mailrooms, dispatch desks and service teams use it to sort incoming work, often alongside a date or a ticket number.
Common uses
- Sorting incoming mail and parcels
- Work orders and service tickets
- Internal requests that need a faster turnaround
- Files moved between departments
How to create it
- Open the template — the red rectangular box stamp reading “PRIORITY” is pre-applied.
- Edit the wording, or add a line underneath for a date, initials or a reference number.
- Change the colour if your office uses a different convention — red is the usual choice for this stamp.
- Download a transparent PNG (or SVG with Pro).
- Place it on a PDF or Word file with the document stamp tools, or print it on labels.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between PRIORITY and URGENT?
PRIORITY means “before routine work”; URGENT means “now”. Teams that use both keep URGENT for genuine deadlines so it keeps its weight.
Can I add a ticket or reference number?
Yes — add a line like “Ref: ____” under the word and fill it in by hand, or type the number before exporting.
Legal & usage
An office stamp is a status marking, not a signature, certification or official classification. Use it on documents you are entitled to annotate, and do not use it to misrepresent a document's status to others.
